Debra Ward

Leading Grassy Ridge Farm is Debra Ward. With over 25 years of professional experience, Debra has competed and brought students from beginner to the Junior/Amateur owner jumper and hunter levels.

Originally from Virginia, Debra began riding in South Florida under Rita Flynn of Tally Ho Farm and eventually worked her way up to become a working student and catch rider for Karen Flynn and Jan Francis. Once going pro, Debra continued as a trainer and rider for Tally Ho Farm before moving on to work with Grassy Ridge Farm where she has called it home for over 20 years.

Competing all across the Eastern Seaboard and Midwest, Debra has put numerous Championships, Finals, and Horse of the Year awards under her and her student's belts. Debra also has a special talent for bringing along young horses and off the track thoroughbreds.
